To Heal.
Fifteen years ago, St. Benedict Joseph Medical Center was a dream, a dream to serve our least fortunate brothers and sisters in the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Today, it is a thriving medical clinic offering free medical assistance to those who would otherwise not receive it.
Surgical Missions
Six to seven times a year, medical brigades from the United States come to offer surgical procedures otherwise unavailable to the poor.
St. Gerard Program
This pre and post-natal care program helps new mothers ensure their babies get a healthy start in life.
Dental Clinic
Our beautiful and modern dental clinic operates every morning, and is available exclusively to children and adults from underprivileged families.
Consultations
The Center operates as a basic healthcare clinic year treating approximately 3,000 patients per month.
Our Impact
On a monthly basis the Medical Center averages more than 1500 consultations. Six to seven times a year Medical Brigades from the States come to offer surgical procedures, often 100 or more in a week’s time, otherwise unavailable to the poor.
